14|12|2011
The National Institute of Agrarian Research of Chile, INIA, will use them to detect Botrytis cinerea
The agreement closed yesterday between the National Institute of Agrarian Research of Chile, INIA, and the Biolan Microbiosensores Company, will allow to control the sanitary state of the grape through biosensors, Turing the campaign that begins in the next weeks.
The Biolan’s biosensors will determine the presence of Botrytis cinerea in table grapes of the Sultanina and Red Globe variety, through measurements with fields fruits dedicated to the export in the regions of Metropolitana, Valparaiso and O´Higgins. The controls will be done by samplings between the beginning of the ripening and the harvest.
INIA bets in this way for the advantages of the biosensors of the Biolan’s family, able to measure parameters of interest preferential for the quality and sanitary state of the grape. This are products with the most advanced technology, that allow responses in less than three minutes.
Biolan took a step more to generalize the use of the biosensors through works like the one that will be developed Turing the next Chilean campaign. This agreement besides allows to realise a new study of the running of the biosensors that INIA will carry out joining to others prestigious public and private entities that have validates the qualities of the Biolan’s biosensors, emphasizing its advantages.
