R&D
Ever since it was founded, BIOLAN has followed a strategy of technological innovation, in the knowledge that generating new, innovative products helps the company to become more competitive. BIOLAN thus focuses its R&D operations on developing new biosensors to me the analysis requirements of the agro-food industry.

BIOLAN encourages participation in R&D projects, taking as its reference point the field of biosensors applied to problem solving in the agro-food industry, and has to date taken part in 14 domestic and regional projects and in the European Union’s H2020 programme (SME instrument). The projects currently up and running are focused on the following:

Development of enzyme biosensors and immuno-sensors for measuring parameters of interest in the field of food safety.

MINIATURISATIONBiosensor technology

Miniaturisation of biosensor technology to obtain simple, fast, cheap, portable biosensors based on disposable, pre-calibrated screen-printed electrodes.

Automation of biosensor technology to obtain continuous monitoring tools.
